Thermal Receipt Printer (Additional)
Our additional thermal receipt printers are good receipt printers, although not as good as our preferred
thermal receipt printers. These include older models, and models that are compatible with

Inkjet Receipt Printer
Inkjet receipt printers offer similar functionality to home or personal inkjet printers, giving
you crisp, colorful receipts. Often these printers feature a combination of features including
check validation printing, making them a good fit for retailers or banks.
Receipt Paper
Purchase receipt paper by the roll or by the case. There are two types of receipt paper on the
market today: thermal receipt paper and plain receipt paper. Thermal paper is for use in receipt
printers that use heat driven or thermal printing while plain receipt paper is best for any
printer where the media is transferred to the paper. Dot matrix, impact and inkjet printers are
examples of printers that transfer ink onto the receipt paper itself without the use of heat.
Consult your receipt printer manual for the correct paper type for your printer.
Inkjet Cartridge
Inkjet cartridges for POS printers and barcode label printers operate by dripping ink from a
cartridge onto the receipt or label paper. Much like home inkjet printers, POS inkjet receipt
printers usually feature more color options than standard thermal or impact printers. With the
correct printer and cartridge, multiple color printing is even possible. If your printer is not
